We've been enjoying some time at home after a fun & busy summer. James performs a concert with his keyboard. James has always loved music and will dance to any beat he hears including loud rap from a car driving by, the classical radio station, or especially the intro to Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust."
Here we have James' ever-consistent answer to the question, "James, where's your button?" Shirt up, pointer finger out, bam!
James has also been spending some time working on his car. He's building up the engine with old graham crackers, letter blocks and his lost sneaker. Actually, the lost sneaker was finally found in one of the kitchen cabinets but he had to stick with the boots for a couple of days until we found it. Since then I've learned to go directly to the cabinet for any missing items such as shoes or juice cups.
James loves to play with keys. We showed him how to use the keys in a lock and he worked for a long time on the bathroom door. Unfortunately, these keys belong to the Swishers old Mazda and our old Kia. However, James worked with one key while resting the other on the toilet and switching between the two for quite some time. He reminded me of his Papa working on a project.
He started getting suspicious about being given the wrong keys...
The cutest part was when he figured out that he can keep the keys in his pocket. Later that night I was folding his shorts and they were a little heavier than usual.
Those shirts are always in the way of everything--buttons, pockets...

Is that a screwdriver that Giant Jeev is using on the city of Chicago at the top?
