Halloween 2009

My friend Paige tipped me off about the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. They had free bouncy houses, barrel train rides and stuff you could stick your face into to make it look like it was your real body.

The next day we went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. We were warned ahead of time that this event is a big deal where we live. Our neighbor counted, last year, 1200 kids. So being the good new neighbors we are we promptly closed the blinds at 6pm, turned off the lights and went out to get candy from other people.

Can you guess?

Bond. James Bond.
We even got him to say it just like that to a few of the neighbors.

Ana was a cowgirl--see the hat? Later we switched to a warmer hat and she was a bear.
Costumes don't have to be complex. Just go into your kid's closet and make them put on something.
Add toy gun & a straw hat, done. Seriously, the kid wore his pajamas to a pumpkin patch. Easy.
